Attorney Profile:

Geralyn (Lynn) Gahran Humphrey

Geralyn HumphreySince 1984, Ms. Humphrey has practiced in the corporate and real estate departments of large and mid-sized firms in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and northern New Jersey. During those years, Ms. Humphrey represented large and small businesses, as well as individuals, in business and real estate transactions of all sizes, from the purchase or sale of a home to multi-million dollar mergers and loans.

She started The Humphrey Law Firm, L.L.C., in 2009 so that she could focus her practice on her first love: representing smaller businesses and entrepreneurs in business and real estate matters, as well as representing individuals in the purchase and sale of homes, which, for most people, is the largest and most important transaction of their lives.

Ms. Humphrey earned her law degree (J.D.) in 1984 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in Philadelphia. While at the University of Pennsylvania, Geralyn participated in the school’s Small Business Legal Clinic, where law students provide basic business legal services to small businesses and entrepreneurs under the supervision of experienced corporate attorneys. Prior to attending the University of Pennsylvania, she attended St. Joseph’s University, also in Philadelphia, and graduated summa cum laude in 1981 with a B.A. in International Relations.

Geralyn is admitted to practice in New Jersey (since 1986) and Pennsylvania (since 1984). She is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and National Association of Women Lawyers.

Ms. Humphrey is a lifelong “Jersey girl.” She grew up in South Jersey, near Philadelphia, and has lived and worked in Essex County since 1986. She is an avid sports fan of baseball, football, college basketball, and in whichever sports her many nieces and nephews participate.
